Spicy Guacamole and Baked Tortilla Chips

Ingredients

Guacamole

  • 2 Fresh Avocados – peeled and pitted
  • ¼ cup cooking onion – chopped or diced
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro – chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp. Lime juice (fresh squeezed)
  • 2 cloves garlic – pressed
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper – seeded and minced
  • Salt And Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 cup Tomatoes –chopped (approx. 1 large tomato)

For Spicy Version 

  • 2 Serrano Peppers – seeded and minced
  • ½ tsp. Red chili flakes
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

  • In a medium bowl mash avocados, but don’t over-mash as you don’t want a complete purée
  • Add diced onion, cilantro, and garlic and mix
  • Slowly mix in the lemon and lime juice
  • Add in peppers and tomatoes as desired until well mixed
  • Season with salt and pepper.
