Spicy Guac and Chips

Spicy Guacamole and Baked Tortilla Chips

Serves 4 / 30 mins

Ingredients

Guacamole

  • 2 Fresh Avocados - peeled and pitted

  • ¼ cup cooking onion – chopped or diced

  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro - chopped

  • 2 tbsp. Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed)

  • 1 tbsp. Lime juice (fresh squeezed)

  • 2 cloves garlic - pressed

  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper - seeded and minced

  • Salt And Ground Black Pepper to taste

  • Optional: 1 cup Tomatoes –chopped (approx. 1 large tomato)

For Spicy Version 

  • 2 Serrano Peppers – seeded and minced

  • ½ tsp. Red chili flakes

  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper

 

Pair with our Baked Tortilla Chips

 

Directions

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes

  1. In a medium bowl mash avocados, but don’t over-mash as you don’t want a complete purée

  2. Add diced onion, cilantro, and garlic and mix

  3. Slowly mix in the lemon and lime juice

  4. Add in peppers and tomatoes as desired until well mixed

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Serve with Casa Mendosa Baked Tortilla Chips
